Front Entrance Water Feature Design

The front entrance of this home is elevated several feet above the driveway, making it an ideal site for a waterfeature.  Instead of building a set of steps with retaining walls and plantings, Pete designed a water feature that includes a streambed and several ponds supported by EP Henry coventry double sided retaining walls.  The largest pond supports fish in addition to acquatic plants.  The water feature can be viewed from various locations and offers guests a visual and audible experience when visiting.

The Weeping Norway Spruce above the upper pond is a year round focal point for this water feature.  Other plants such as the Daylily and Petunia provide summer flowers.

As guest arrive, they see the lower ponds and landscaping.

The upper pond shown in the picture to the left, supports numerous fish.  The plantings will increase around the pond and aquatic plants will be added to further enhance the water feature.
